KMS Marine was founded by Captain Khaled Abo Omar as a consultancy firm to assist ship owners with vessel registration and the prompt delivery of seafarer documentation.
In 2011, Captain Khaled began performing Annual Safety Inspections (ASI) for the Panama Flag State. Some flag states can be highly bureaucratic, making it challenging to ensure that documents comply with their specific regulations and conventions.
Recognizing these difficulties for ship owners, we established our specialized Vessel Registration department. Soon after, a fleet manager with 90 vessels requested that we manage all their Panama Crew Endorsement applications. We demonstrated our expertise and creativity by delivering services 24/7, including during Panama holidays.
Today, our Seafarer Department processes applications for three jurisdictions, while our Technical Staff travels worldwide to perform surveys and audits. For example, we have an agreement with a major container company to conduct Intermediate ISPS Audits on all their IACS-classed vessels.
